WALDORF, Md. — It’s not every day you see tattoo artists from the show “Ink Masters” in Southern Maryland. The Cruel Summer Tattoo Festival took place from Aug. 1 to 3, featuring many talented tattoo artists and vendors. With unique entertainment and performers, the Cruel Summer Festival was an unforgettable one.

An Unforgettable Weekend at The Cruel Summer Tattoo Festival

Artists from all over the country traveled to Charles County to share their art and work their ink magic. Each vendor had their own area and table set up where they displayed their art, business cards, knickknacks and more. There was also a bar serving drinks throughout the three-day event, as well as food. It was amazing to see such a variety of styles and cultures come together in one place. Every idea for a tattoo could be brought to life here. Artists from the show “Ink Masters” — Kyle Dunbar, James Vaughn and Kevin Johnson — also attended, inking tattoos. But in case you were not feeling anything permanent, temporary tattoos were also available that looked just like the real ones. This festival had everything you needed to have a great time.

Although the festival was centered on tattoos, it offered much more. Numerous vendors sold custom T-shirts, hats and memorable souvenirs. The days were filled with tattoo contests, awards and entertainers like contortionists, comedians and more. These competitions and performers were sprinkled throughout the days. There was always something exciting happening, and these talented artists were receiving the recognition they deserved.
