John Anthony Gateau, Jr, age 87 of Leonardtown, Maryland died peacefully on June 7, 2026 at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gateau, survived by daughters, Linda Weese (Matt), Brenda Dalsey (Jerry) and Grandchildren- Katie Dalsey (Mike), Gerard Dalsey, and Maura LaVoie (David). B The son of the late John Gateau, Sr and Winifred Gateau of Hollywood, Maryland. John, the oldest of six children, survived by siblings Angel Judd, Patricia Muchow, Sandra Reece. Preceded in death by his brothers George Gateau and Robert Gateau. John’s career encompassed Facilities Management and Real Estate that took him far and wide from Washington DC to Maryland, Delaware. He loved his family, enjoying good crabs & a beer, the ocean, and nice cars. Services will be private.
