PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — An urgent plea is being made to the community to help save the lives of several dogs at the Prince George’s County Animal Services Division.

According to advocates, six dogs are facing euthanasia if they are not placed into foster homes or adopted by 9 a.m. tomorrow. Volunteers say the shelter urgently needs temporary fosters and permanent adopters to prevent the dogs from being euthanized.

Rescue organizers stress that foster families will not be responsible for veterinary expenses, saying all costs will be covered. They are simply asking for people willing to provide the dogs with a safe place to stay while longer-term arrangements are made.

Among the dogs highlighted are Davie, a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier described as athletic, energetic and eager to learn, and Zuko, an approximately 3-year-old American Bulldog who is described as affectionate, playful and people-friendly.

Anyone who is able to foster or adopt is encouraged to call, text or send a message immediately to the rescue organization coordinating placements, as time is running out.

The Prince George’s County Animal Services Division is located at 3750 Brown Station Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. Those interested in adoption or fostering should act quickly, as the deadline is rapidly approaching.
