
LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior Anna Kidd (Arbutus, Md./Mount de Sales) picked up the Atlantic East Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week award for the second time this season as announced by the league office Monday afternoon (Jan. 22). Kidd earned her Atlantic East honor back on November 13. St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s swimmers have won seven of the nine weekly awards given this season.
Kidd notched two individual wins in the Seahawks’ only meet of the week against Marymount (Va.) University on January 20.
The 5-10 captain led St. Mary’s College with victories in the 200 individual medley in 2:18.60 and the 100 freestyle in 57.02. She also swam the breaststroke leg of the second-place 200-medley relay (1:59.29).
St. Mary’s College (6-10) will end the regular season on the road this Saturday, January 27, when the Seahawks travel to Hampden-Sydney, Va., to take on William Peace University (3-3) in a neutral site, non-conference dual meet at 2 p.m. at Hampden-Sydney College.
