PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — K&K Adventure Park is expanding to add an all-new Adventure Zone in the Fox Run Shopping Center in Prince Frederick. The zone is preparing to announce all-new activities this fall to make for an exciting and unforgettable adventure.
The Adventure Park, located at 90 Sherry Lane, Prince Frederick, Md., currently features mini golf, batting cages, bumper cars, and a rock wall. The park is a popular spot for birthday parties and field trips in the area. The Adventure Zone will be just a few minutes down the road, at the old Joann Fabrics location.
Owner Kelly Ridgewell wrote in an email statement that she was excited about the expansion and the opportunity to offer local families more.
“Families in our community deserve even more ways to laugh, play, and make memories together. We’ve seen how much fun families have at K&K Adventure Park and we wanted to take that excitement indoors so the adventure doesn’t stop when the weather changes. Expanding means creating a year-round destination where kids, parents, grandparents, and friends can all find something fun to enjoy,” Ridgewell wrote.
Adventure Zone will serve as a “big sister” to nearby Adventure Park and offer a year-round, climate-controlled space that doesn’t have to accommodate changes in the weather. Like Adventure Park, Adventure Zone will offer safe, fun, local options for birthdays, group outings, and after-school fun.
“It’s about keeping families connected, giving kids something positive to do, and bringing more energy and entertainment into the heart of our community,” Ridgewell added.
Adventure Zone has been releasing updates on activities on their social media page and has made a game out of keeping people guessing. Here’s what we know will be offered so far:
- Black-light mini golf
- Laser tag battles
- VR escape room
- Laser maze challenges
- Corporate outings and birthday party rooms
These fun activities are suitable for all ages, including adults who want to have some fun.
K&K Adventure Zone doesn’t have a date yet for their grand opening, but construction and setup are “full speed ahead,” and Ridgewell promised to keep people in the know. She recommends continuing to watch their socials for sneak peeks and countdowns — and even some fun surprises.
This exciting new addition to Prince Frederick is underway, and families will soon get to see it for themselves.
