Great Mills, MD— On June 4, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office ย Sgt. Moritz stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Great Mills Road and Three Notch Road.
The passenger in the motor vehicle, Tina Marie Tippett, 27, of Lexington Park, was in possession of numerous prescription pills.
“As Tippett exited the vehicle, various pills fell from her lap to the ground,” according to charging documents.
A further investigation revealed thatย the pills, ten in total, were a mixture of acetaminophen and oxycodone.ย
After the prescription pills were recovered, a probable causeย search of the vehicle was conducted. Officers found hypodermic needles with suspected heroin residue, metal spoons with suspected heroin residue, small plastic bags and a medicine bottle containing suspected phencyclidine (PCP).
Tippett was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Maryโs County Detention Center. Tippett was charged with possession of heroin, possession of oxycodone, possession of phencyclidine (PCP) and two counts of possession with the intent to use paraphernalia.ย
At this time, Tippett does not have a scheduled court date. Tippett faces a maximum jail sentence of 12 years and/or a maximum fine of $76,000.ย
