Tomorrow, the Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office will be assisting with funeral services for Kayla Kiley – a young lady known to many of us – who passed away.

A very large number of people are expected to attend her service at New Life Church in White Plains. The CCSO Traffic Operations Unit and other members of the agency will be coordinating all traffic operations for her procession which may include hundreds of cars.

Although we never know the exact time a procession will begin, we believe it might start about 11 a.m. Unless otherwise noted, the procession route is as follows:

  • Route 301 south to Washington Avenue
  • Washington Ave to Rosewick Road
  • Rosewick Road to St Charles Parkway
  • Right on Billingsley Road
  • North to Route 5 (Mattawoman Beantown Road)
  • Mattawoman Beantown Road to Trinity Memorial Gardens

There could be some delays near the church and there will be delays as the procession moves forward from White Plains to Waldorf. Please note: There are two other large events going on in the county tomorrow: A COPS bike ride in Bryans Road and the parade in the Town of La Plata (scheduled in the morning).

Our thoughts are with Kayla’s family and friends.
