Festivities are to include sand volleyball, a water slide, fire truck hose-downs, moon bounce, face painting, sand art, balloons, classic cars and Corvettes, Hula Hoop and Libmo Contests and much more.
There will be a Jazzercise Demonstration by Pam Veitch, a local jazzercise teacher. Reggie Rice, previously affiliated with Hyperspace, will put on a magic show. Power Explosion Dance Company dancers from Mechanicsville will perform and will be selling cotton candy to raise money to perform in a Christmas parade. Live music will be provided by Baltimore band, Sons of Pirates, a local favorite who provides repeat performances at Vera’s in Lusby.
This event is free so be there or be square.
Traffic into the downtown area will be detoured to free parking areas around the town or park at the College of Southern Maryland and take advantage of the free shuttle service provided by the St. Mary’s Transit System into town.
