Leonardtown High School varsity boys basketball helped issue the Patuxent High School team its 13th loss of the season, leaving the team still winless on the season.
Leonardtown junior varsity team also had a successful evening on Wednesday, topping the Patuxent JV team 50 to 39.
Nick Shade was the high scorer for Leonardtown JV, with 14 points. On the Patuxent JV squad, Francis Baker was high scorer with 9 points.
After the JV game, coach Lou Bruno said, “We played bad.”
Coach of the Patuxent varsity team, John McGuffin, said after their 64-55 defeat: “They had more points, and we did a good job.”
The high scorer for Leonardtown was Eric Chase with 17 points. On Patuxent, Trenton Barnett scored 15.
The Patuxent freshman team gave the school a reason to go home with a smile, with a 62-42 win over Leonardtown.
Patuxent’s Brandon Durbin was the high scorer in that game with 23 points. The leader for Leonardtown’s freshman team was Chris Campeggio, with 18.
