Hollywood, MD—An explanation for commemorating veterans goes without saying. Not only is our community home to a naval base, but many of the residents in Southern Maryland know or are related to a vet. Even if there is no family history of military down one’s lineage, these people risk their lives defending our country and aiming to achieve world peace. It takes an indescribable amount of courage to join any branch of the military, and that bravery should be recognized.
