Lexington Park, MD – A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash near St. Mary’s Square on Great Mills Road.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Saratoga Drive and Australia Drive around 1:13 p.m. on May 11. According to initial reports, police arrived to find a male patient with leg injuries. A tourniquet was applied at the scene.
A helicopter was requested to transport the patient. Great Mills Road was shut down between Saratoga and surrounding intersections as emergency crews established a landing zone near Lexington Park Elementary.
St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office had issued a traffic advisory for the area.
