On Monday, Feb. 14, local icon, Linda’s Café is set to provide the very best Valentine’s Day dining experience to loving couples who want a laid back, relaxing dining experience on this special day.

The local eatery has been in existence since Sept. 1, 1988 and has fed literally thousands of satisfied customers over the years. The Linda’s Café story began one warm day in 1988 when Linda Palchinsky decided that commuting to Washington DC was not the way she wanted to raise a daughter and have a family.  After careful consideration, Palchinsky decided to purchase then ‘Kelly’s Place’ from her former maternity employer Kelly Buckler.  On Sept. 1, 1988 she turned the key for her first day of business.

Palchinsky learned quickly through the early hard times, realizing that she and her husband spent more time away from home than they did when she commuted. However, the couple pushed on and after many years of blood, sweat, and tears, Linda’s Cafe turned into a local spot serving not only founding fathers of Lexington Park but many contractors on the base where patrons soon learned that Linda’s Café was a place where they would always find sense of comfort and satisfaction in the café’s down home meals and warm, friendly surroundings.

That tradition continues to this day. Focusing on homemade and fresh food daily, Palchinsky has set herself apart from other local restaurants.  Not focusing on ‘saving a buck’ Linda’s Café purchases only quality products and lets the food speak for itself.

That continues this coming Valentine’s Day where Linda’s Café will feature three scrumptious sweetheart Valentine’s Day specials:

First is the Dinner for Two consisting of prime rib with a choice of two sides, salad and dessert and tea or coffee all for only $40 per couple. Another special from 4 to 8 p.m. on that day will be a juicy strip steak with all the fixings, including dessert for only $15.99 per person. The final sweetheart Valentine’s Day special is the amazing Captain’s Platter offering shrimp, oysters, crab cake, fish, scallops and hush puppies, a great dessert all for only $18.99 per person.

When asked about the future for Linda’s Café, Palchinsky responded, “We are local by choice and we like it that way!”
