Lusby Woman Arrested On Warrant, Trooper Allegedly Finds Cocaine Residue

LUSBY, Md. — A 56-year-old Lusby woman is facing drug charges after a Maryland State Police trooper allegedly discovered a glass smoking device containing suspected cocaine residue while taking her into custody on an outstanding warrant, according to Calvert County court documents.

Tammi Michelle Havenner, 56, of Lusby, was charged in the District Court for Calvert County with possession of a controlled dangerous substance other than cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges stem from an Aug. 13, 2026, encounter along H.G. Trueman Road in Lusby.

According to a statement of probable cause filed by Maryland State Police, a trooper responded at approximately 9:15 a.m. to the area of Maryland Route 4 and H.G. Trueman Road.

Two Calvert County Sheriff’s Office deputies were already at the scene with Havenner, who authorities said had a confirmed warrant through the Maryland State Police.

The trooper reported that he took custody of Havenner and her personal belongings so she could be transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.

According to the statement of probable cause, a search incident to Havenner’s arrest allegedly uncovered a glass smoking device.

The trooper reported that the device contained burnt residue of suspected cocaine, which he identified in the charging document as a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance.

Police said the smoking device was located inside a zip-up fleece jacket that was among Havenner’s possessions.

The trooper wrote that he identified the suspected controlled dangerous substance based on his training, knowledge and experience as a Maryland State Police trooper, as well as his previous involvement in controlled dangerous substance investigations.

Havenner was released on her own recognizance the same day, meaning she was released without being required to post a monetary bond.

A trial officer scheduling hearing is set for Oct. 7, 2026, in Calvert County District Court.
