LUSBY, Md. – On June 25, 2021, residents of the Chesapeake Ranch Estates in partnership with Deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office met for the first time in person since the COVID-19 pandemic in regards to the Property Owners Association Chesapeake Ranch Estates (POACRE) neighborhood watch program.

Cpt. Dave Payne and DFC E. Durner enlightened citizens on topics to include crime prevention and community resources. Residents brought concerns to the table in reference to speeding, neighborhood street lights, activities for youth and local infrastructure.

These meetings are designed to enhance neighborhood security and encourage partnerships between the community and law enforcement. By working together, communities and local law enforcement can make Calvert County a safer place to work and live.
