ST. LEONARD, Md. – This past year has tested us in more ways than we ever imagined — not just in rescue, but in our personal lives as well. Today, we want to share something deeply important to our hearts.
Many of you know her as the heart and guiding light of our rescue — the one who cheers us on, the one who never stops fighting for the animals, the one who is the reason Mabel’s Orphaned Angels even exists. She is our foundation, our strength, our “leading lady.”
And now… she needs us.
Our rescue’s biggest supporter has been diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer.
Her world changed overnight — and while she is staying strong, positive, and focused on healing, the financial strain has become overwhelming.
Because of surgeries, treatments, and recovery time, she is unable to work. Medical bills, medications, transportation, and basic living expenses are piling up faster than she can manage. Asking for help is incredibly hard for her — so we are asking for her.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps lift a piece of the burden so she can focus on what matters most: fighting cancer and healing.
