California, MD— On Jan.17, St.Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kevin Molitor responded to the 45000 (Walmart) block of Miramar Way in California, for the report of a theft in progress.
The suspect, Joseph David Greenwell, 18 of California, attempted to conceal merchandise and leave the store without paying.
According to charging documents, “The witness watched the defendant and observed him conceal multiple items on his person. The witness followed the defendant until he had passed all points of purchase and stopped the defendant.”
“The witness retrieved the items from the defendant to include two boxes of Extenze male enhancement pills and a large bottle of Durex massaging oil,” according to charging documents.
“The defendant admitted he was attempting to steal the items due to him and his girlfriend talking about wanting massage oil. He stated the reason he tried to take Extenze was because he thought it would help,” according to charging documents.
Greenwell was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Theft Under $100.
Greenwell has a court date scheduled for March.29 at the St.Mary’s County District Court.
