On April 1, 2015, Deputy Pontorno responded to a residence on Church Drive in Great Mills, for a reported assault.
The victim alleged suspect John Clifton Jones, age 37, of Great Mills, pulled the victim out of the apartment by the arm causing the victim to fall to the ground. Deputy Pontorno observed an injury to the victim’s elbow.
Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
