WELCOME, Md. — A detached garage and three vehicles were destroyed Wednesday night in a fire that caused an estimated $51,000 in damage in Welcome.
Firefighters responded at approximately 11:10 p.m. July 29, 2026, to 8010 Annapolis Woods Road after the property owner discovered the fire.
The blaze began in the detached garage and spread to three vehicles parked nearby, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
Approximately 40 firefighters from the Tenth District and Bryans Road volunteer fire departments brought the one-alarm fire under control within 15 minutes.
The garage and its contents were considered a total loss. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the structure and $50,000 to its contents.
No injuries were reported, and no residents were displaced.
