Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
On April 10, 2011 at approximately 2:10 a.m. Dfc. Whipkey was approaching the intersection of Meath Drive and Daugherty Court in Great Mills; Maryland when he noticed what appeared to be an unoccupied vehicle with its lights on blocking the roadway. Dfc. Whipkey approached the vehicle and observed Darious Anthony Jones, 18 of Leonardtown, Maryland lying in the front seat. Jones rolled down the driver’s window and began speaking with Dfc. Whipkey. The deputy detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed Jones was possession of suspected marijuana. Jones was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected marijuana.
