SEVERN, Md. – On May 31, 2024, at approximately 5:22 a.m., officers responded to a contact shooting that reportedly occurred in the area of Annapolis Road and Disney Road in Severn.
Officers spoke with the 49-year-old male victim who indicated he was walking in the area when a sedan drove past him. He reported hearing gunshots and later realized he had been shot.
The crime scene has not been located and there is no suspect information at this time. Western District detectives are investigating the incident. The victim was transported precautionary to Shock Trauma with a non-life-threatening wound to his leg.
Western District detectives are investigating and searching for any potential evidence in the area.
