At 8 a.m.ย Nov. 16, Huntingtown volunteer Fire departmentย and rescue squad units responded to a report of an the unconscious subject somewhere on Lowery Road.
Responders were told that a subject had been struck by a fallen tree and was now unconscious, reports Huntingtown VFD Assistant Chief Jonathan Riffe,
Minutes later, a crew found a patient approximately 1/2 mile in the woods, unconcsious with severe head trauma.
A large tree being hoisted by a logging company struck the patient in the head. The Medic unit on the scene had 4-wheeler and was able to access the patient and remove him from the woods fairly quickly.
The patient was transported to Baltimore Trauma priority one by Trooper 7. Due to this being an Industrial Accident, the Sheriff’s Department also responded.
