TEMPLE HILLS, Md. – Homicide Unit detectives charged a suspect in connection with a homicide in Temple Hills in late January. The suspect is 46-year-old Dynel Jackson of no fixed address.

On Jan. 24, at approximately 12:20 a.m., patrol officers were called to a home in the 6700 block of Geneva Lane for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived on scene, officers found the victim, 61-year-old Lorenzo Dancy of Northeast DC, inside of the home suffering from a stab wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.

The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect and the victim were involved in a dispute during which the suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect was arrested in North Carolina and is currently awaiting extradition to Prince Georgeโ€™s County. Heโ€™s charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.
