
TEMPLE HILLS, Md. – Homicide Unit detectives charged a suspect in connection with a homicide in Temple Hills in late January. The suspect is 46-year-old Dynel Jackson of no fixed address.
On Jan. 24, at approximately 12:20 a.m., patrol officers were called to a home in the 6700 block of Geneva Lane for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived on scene, officers found the victim, 61-year-old Lorenzo Dancy of Northeast DC, inside of the home suffering from a stab wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.
The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect and the victim were involved in a dispute during which the suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect was arrested in North Carolina and is currently awaiting extradition to Prince Georgeโs County. Heโs charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.
