Lexington Park, MD— On June 4, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Mushchette responded to Eric Road in Lexington Park for the report of a domestic disturbance.ย
When Mushchette arrived on the scene, he could hear people arguing. Upon entry into the apartment, contact was made with the victim, a female. The victim advised that she and the defendant, identified as Timjuanย D. Mundell, 40, of Lexington Park, were involved in a verbal argument stemming from accusations of infidelity.ย
The victim also advised Mundell “struck her multiple times in the face with a closed fist causingย visibleย signs of injury,” according to charging documents.ย
The victim’sย son was present during the incident and physically intervened to stop the assault.
Mundell was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, where he was charged with second-degree assault.ย
Mundell at this time does not have a scheduled court date. Mundell’s bond was set at $10,000. Mundell faces a maximum jail sentence of 10 years and/or a maximum fine of $2,500.ย
