Michael A. Green Sr.

Solomons, MD— On March.11, Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Dfc. Gott was on routine patrol in the area of Creston Road in Solomons when he observed a vehicle being drivenย on the roadway with several items hanging from the rear-view mirror, obstructing the windshield view.ย

Gott pulled the car over and conducted a traffic stop at Patuxent Point Parkway. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Michael A. Green Sr., 40 of Lusby. According to charging documents, “I (Gott) advised Green as to why I (Gott) was pulling him over and while speaking with Green I (Gott) could smell a faint odor of raw marijuana emitting from the vehicle.”ย

Gott was advised by the Calvert County Control Center that Green’s Maryland driving privileges were currently suspended. A search of Green’s vehicle, “revealed a large plastic shopping bag and inside of the bag I (Gott) located two separateย bags of suspected marijuana, a plastic bag containing suspect cocaine and a scale containing suspected cocaine residue.

Green advised Gott that he “sprinkles the cocaine on top of his marijuana when he smokes it,” according to charging documents. ย

Green was transported to the Detention Center and charged with CDS possession not marijuana (cocaine), possession of paraphernalia (scale) and with traffic violations.

Green has a scheduled court date of June 10 in District Court.ย
