Sunday, Nov. 9, is the On Watch Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at the WWII Veteranโ€™s Plaza, at the end of the Dowell Peninsula. Following the ceremony, at the Calvert Marine Museum, enjoy refreshments and the sweet sounds of jazz performed by the Navy Band Vibes Bass Duo at 4 p.m. in the auditorium. Concert admission is free.

Enjoy free museum admission for active duty, veterans, Department of Defense contractors, and their families on Tuesday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day. Donโ€™t miss visiting our Museum Store to get an early start on your holiday shopping.

Richard Dodds, Curator of Maritime History, will present a free lecture on the U.S. Naval Amphibious Training Base on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. in the museum auditorium.

โ€œMy Experience as a Navy Diver in the Patuxent,โ€ will be presented by Harold Liddle on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. in the museum auditorium. Lecture is free.

Beginning Sunday, Nov. 9, the Calvert Marine Museum is offering a military discount every day. All adults ages 13 and up with a valid military I.D. card will receive $1 off the regular adult admission price.

The Calvert Marine Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
