ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Families across Maryland now have an online tool to help children of all abilities find a place to play. The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council and the Maryland Department of Disabilities announced Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, the launch of “Playgrounds for All,” a website that highlights inclusive playgrounds statewide.
The site spotlights outdoor areas intentionally designed so no child feels excluded. Inclusive playgrounds feature equipment and layouts that meet a wide range of needs, encouraging kids with and without disabilities to play, learn, and grow together.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of play,” Gov. Wes Moore said in a statement. “By launching the Playgrounds for All website, we’re creating a more equitable and accessible Maryland for all.”
The site offers a searchable map and details about playgrounds designed to be welcoming to every family. More information is available at www.playgroundsforallmd.org.
