MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — At approximately 1:56 a.m. on Feb. 21, the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad responded to a reported structure fire off of Mechanicsville Road and Asher Road.
Upon arrival, units discovered a commercial vehicle engulfed in flames. The resting vehicle was located directly next to a workshop, which was deemed to be in danger of catching fire at the time.
We are not aware of the current cause of the fire. We will provide additional information when we receive it.
