
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – An altercation inside the Calvert County Detention Center (CCDC) escalated early Thursday morning when an inmate allegedly assaulted a correctional officer by spitting in their face, according to official reports.
At approximately 12:56 a.m. on December 14, Calvert County Correctional DFC Kelly responded to a report of a disorderly inmate in L Block, identified as Alan Douglas Oberlander (W/M DOB: 12/15/74). The incident occurred at the detention facility located at 325 Stafford Road in Prince Frederick, Maryland.
During the encounter, Oberlander allegedly spat into DFC Kelly’s face and eye. Following the incident, DFC Kelly sought precautionary medical evaluation at Calvert Health Medical Center, located at 100 Hospital Drive, Prince Frederick, to address any potential health concerns stemming from the assault.
The incident has been documented as occurring entirely within Calvert County. No further information has been made available at this time as investigations continue.
