Toni L. Meier was selected to the Senior Executive Service and subsequently appointed to Director, Logistics Management Integration Department (AIR 6.6) on Dec. 18, 2011.

In her new position, Meier will be responsible for integrated logistics support for 3,900 naval aviation aircraft and weapons programs, which are supported by a geographically-dispersed department with approximately 1,300 employees. Meier will manage an operating budget of $100 million that directly influences program logistics acquisition budgets of $1.3 billion.

Rear Adm. (sel) CJ Jaynes, the assistant commander for NAVAIRโ€™s Logistics and Industrial Operations, is pleased to have Meier on her team. โ€œMs. Meier has an outstanding reputation within our logistics community and throughout NAVAIR. She is highly-accomplished and focused, and I know her innovative leadership style will serve the logistics team well,โ€ said Jaynes.

Meier has a goal and is eager to take on her responsibilities. โ€œI am honored to be selected to the SES, and honored to be working with some of the best logisticians in the Department of Defense. Together, we’ll focus on increased fleet readiness and reduce total ownership costs by continually improving our acquisition and sustainment practices,โ€ said Meier.

With 31 years of federal service, Meier spent the past five years as the technical director for NAVAIRโ€™s Naval Aviation Readiness and Resource Analysis Department, where she was responsible for strategic planning and oversight of 1,100 logisticians, information technology specialists and readiness analysts who provide logistics support to naval aviation weapon systems. Meier also led the charge in implementing a standardized automated logistics environment that reduces acquisition and sustainment costs for logistics information technology.
