NAVAIR unmanned aircraft systems engineer Johann Soto is featured in the Department of the Navy’s (DoN) new civilian careers recruiting campaign, which launched Dec. 8. The campaign focuses on recruiting non-military personnel and veterans to pursue civilian careers with the Navy. Soto represents the talent, diversity of ideas and capabilities of civilians within the DoN. He mentors interns, grade school and high school students supporting the science, technology, engineering and mathematics program, and is recognized for his commitment to diversity and inclusion efforts. “There is not a day where I don’t either learn something new or teach it,” he said. “There is a great spirit of camaraderie in this organization that helps us to achieve the organization’s goals, and everyone is willing to help you meet your portion of it.” Read more about the recruiting campaign here or watch the Daily News Update video segment here.
