At 5 a.m. Oct.26, Officer R. Kimble of the Charles County Sheriffโs Office observed two suspicious men outside WaWa at 11505 Berry Road in Waldorf.
On contact, one of the men initially provided a false identity but was later identified as Brian Anthony Gant, 22, of Accokeek. Gant was found to be wanted by the Prince George‘s County Police Department for a probation violation.
Police say Gant attempted to flee from responding officers, and he punched one of the officers but officers apprehended and arrested him.
The other man was identified as Donte Lamont Kearney, 19, of Camp Springs and a search revealed he was in possession of a handgun and PCP, police say.
He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute PCP, possession of PCP, carrying a firearm while drug trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a handgun.
Gant was charged with assault on a police officer, second degree assault, failure to obey a lawful order and resisting arrest.
They are being held at the Charles County Detention
