On August 22, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Deputy First Class Fahey was patrolling the area of Maddox Road and Budds Creek Road when she noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot across from Village Liquors.
Deputy Fahey investigated and conducted a computer check of the vehicle’s registration. The computer check revealed the registration plate which was affixed to the vehicle was stolen. Dfc. Fahey approached the vehicle and found George Carlton Mattingly, Sr., 59 of no fixed address, sleeping in the vehicle.
Mattingly was arrested and charged with theft under $1,000.00.
