On May 14 at 10:45 p.m., officers responded to a local hospital after receiving a call that a person was being treated for injuries he sustained during an assault that occurred on a path near the 3700 block of Leonardtown Road in Waldorf.
Investigation revealed the victim, 20, was walking on the path when two unknown suspects approached and assaulted him. The suspects fled and the victim ran to a neighbor’s house where he realized he had been cut. He was driven to the hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries. A motive for the assault is not clear.
