UPDATE – 11/7/2024 – Road Rage Crash In St. Mary’s County Leaves One Seriously Injured
MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – On November 6, 2024, at approximately 5:45 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to a serious multi-vehicle accident on the northbound lanes of Three Notch Road near North Sandgates Road.
Upon arrival, crews found three vehicles involved in the crash, with one occupant sustaining severe injuries.
Firefighters set up a landing zone at Oakville Elementary School for Maryland State Police Trooper 7. The injured individual was subsequently airlifted to Baltimore Shock Trauma Center for further treatment.
Maryland State Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash, which resulted in road closures during the morning commute. Roads reopened around 9:00 a.m.
