LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Emergency crews responded late Thursday morning, March 6, 2025, to a serious two-vehicle crash that left an SUV overturned in a ditch along Point Lookout Road.
The crash, which occurred around 11:45 a.m. near Fairgrounds Road, involved a tractor-trailer and an SUV in a T-bone collision. When first responders arrived, they found the SUV flipped on its roof, but the driver had managed to escape the wreckage.
EMS assessed the driver at the scene before transporting them to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment. The extent of the driver’s injuries was not immediately disclosed.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
