Prince Frederick, MD –ย Police in Calvert County are investigating a two-vehicle collision which resulted in at least one injury. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon, April 21 on northbound Route 2/4 near Main Street in Prince Frederick.
One person was extricated from a vehicle by emergency responders from the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department. A spokesperson for the Maryland State Police (MSP) Prince Frederick Barrack said the driver of the other vehicle involved fled the scene. That vehicle was subsequently located, stopped and the driver was arrested.
No names have been released and the barrack spokesperson stated a final report in the incident has not been completed.
There were reports the injured person was to be flown to a hospital, however, the barrack spokesperson said MSP has no information about such a transport.
The crash is being investigated by Tfc. Matthews.
