LEONARDTOWN, Md. – In a groundbreaking move, The Rex Theatre is set to host an evening dedicated to showcasing local original artists for the very first time in their venue. Among the lineup are diverse acts spanning from Americana and Occultic Witch Rock, promising a unique and vibrant musical experience.
The show is set for February 17th and will feature MOLLDYER, Ammonite, The Runaway-Guns, and Deadbeat Holiday.
Aaron Stone, guitarist and vocalist of MOLLDYER, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “What I am probably most excited for is to bring something fresh and new to the music scene. Opportunities are not always knocking on the doors for original music, I hope this show can bring together people and be able to meet new faces in the process.”
MOLLDYER, a four-piece Occultic Rock outfit hailing from the haunted shorelines of Southern Maryland, is one of the featured acts. Stone, known by his stage name “The Wall,” along with his bandmates Erick “The Ghost”, Bassist “The Holy Ghost,” and Drummer “The Mountain,” are poised to bring their unique vibe to the stage.

“The type of vibe people can expect is a welcoming environment for all types of personalities,” Stone explained. “This lineup has a little bit of everything from Americana, Indie, Pop-Punk to Occultic Witch Rock, all blending together to create a one-of-a-kind evening for original music.”
Joining MOLLDYER are other remarkable acts including Deadbeat Holiday, a high-energy three-piece Skate Punk band from St. Mary’s; Ammonite, an all-female power trio from Washington, DC, known for their surprising harmonies and intense performances; and The Runaway Guns, a four-piece Americana band also from St. Mary’s, known for their unique incorporation of brass instruments.

The event is expected to draw music enthusiasts from across the region to The Rex Theatre, one of the newest venues in Southern Maryland. With a lineup that promises diversity, energy, and originality, the evening is sure to be memorable.
