Spring is time for baseball. Fall is time for football.
Paintball battles are good all year long.
The Bay Net photographer Frank Marquart attended one of these paint wars last week on Sure Shot Field in Valley Lee.
The field is run by Sure Shot Paintball, of Callaway, which is owned and operated by Luther H. Duncan.
Sure Shot Paintball originated in Duncan’s basement in October 2003, with the selling of CO2. This blossomed into the addition of selling paint and a few guns, called “markers”, also from the basement.
The company has now grown into what Duncan says in the best and most people-friendly paintball store in Southern Maryland.
“We take the time to talk with you, helping you to get the most bang for your buck. We are aware that this sport is expensive, but there are ways around the expense and the constant upgrades many markers require,” Duncan said. “You are not just a number, or another sale when you walk into our store, but someone who loves this sport as much as we do.”
