ย Here is a traditional recipe for Tiramisu:

Ingredients


750 grams of mascarpone cream (check for the equivalent in cups!)
8 eggs, separated (reserve the whites for another use or make meringue!)
8 tablespoons white sugar
cocoa powder ( a few tablespoons, to taste)

And for the biscuit layer…
1 and 1/2 packages pavesini biscuits (or ladyfingers)
1/2 pint sugared espresso coffee

Directions:
Beat the 8 egg yolks with the sugar till creamy and light yellow in color.

Add mascarpone and blend, beating as little as possible.
Alternate a layer of pavesini (or the ladyfingers) which have first been dipped in the espresso coffee) with a layer of the cream.

Top with a layer of the cream and a dusting of cocoa powder.
