On 4/14/15 at 7:39 am, Trooper First Class Costello stopped a vehicle at Rt. 4 and Church St. in Prince Frederick for traffic violations.
A passenger in the vehicle became very nervous and when asked for his identity gave a name that was later determined to be false in an effort to avoid arrest for an open warrant.
Once his true identity was determined, he was placed under arrest for an open warrant with the U.S. Marshall’s office.
He will also be charged with giving a false statement to a police officer. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
