Investigation Underway

WALDORF, Md. — A pedestrian was critically injured early Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in Waldorf.

Emergency crews were called around 3 a.m. to the 2600 block of Rooks Head Place for reports of a man who had been run over. First responders found a 34-year-old man suffering from severe injuries, including significant head lacerations and a broken right leg, along with additional wounds across his body.

Witness information indicated the vehicle involved was a blue Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver was no longer at the scene when police arrived.

The victim was transported by ground to UM Capital Region Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the hit-and-run. Anyone with information about the vehicle or the incident should contact authorities.
