TEMPLE HILLS, Md. – A lucky Maryland Lottery player landed the win of a lifetime on June 16, courtesy of the multi-state Cash4Life game. Marlow Winghouse & Sports Grill in Temple Hills sold a second-tier winning Cash4Life ticket worth $1,000 a week for life!

The player holding the lucky ticket in the June 16 drawing is the first to win a second-tier $1,000-a-week-for-life Cash4Life prize in Maryland in 2021 and the fourth since the game became available in the state in 2016.

The Prince George’s County retailer, located at 4147 Branch Avenue in Temple Hills, will receive a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a second-tier winning Cash4Life ticket.

The winner can choose between a $1,000-a-week-for-life annuity paid in annual installments of $52,000 a year, or a $1 million cash option (before taxes). Check your ticket for the winning numbers of 10, 32, 41, 42, 51; the Cash Ball was 1. Our lucky $1,000-a-week-for-life winner matched the first five numbers, but did not match the Cash Ball.

This lucky winner isn’t the only happy Cash4Life player in the June 16 drawing, which saw a total of 3,013 Maryland winners of prizes of $2 and up. Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Lottery officials strongly encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and keep them in a safe location.

The Maryland Lottery began offering the Cash4Life game in January 2016. Ten states participate: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Tennessee. Since the game began in June 2014, Cash4Life has had 49 top-prize winners and 119 second-tier winners. Maryland has now had three top-prize winners and four second-tier prize winners.

Our big winner can claim the prize by mail, in person by appointment or by dropping off the completed claim form and winning ticket at Maryland Lottery headquarters, 1800 Washington Blvd., Baltimore. Winners of smaller prizes can claim them by mail, at Lottery retailers, at casinos or by appointment at Lottery headquarters.
