Upper Marlboro, Md. – The Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff welcomes three new Deputies to our ranks who graduated from the Prince George’s County Police Academy on Tuesday February 28, 2018. Deputy Sheriffs Alejandra Alonso-Warren, Alton Bryant and Frank King , all successfully completed eight rigorous months of police Academy basic training as members of Session 134.
Family and friends of the Deputies gathered at Riverdale Baptist Church in Upper Marlboro to see their loved ones sworn in and to witness their commitment to protect and serve the citizens of Prince George’s County. Deputy Alonso- Warren received the Chief’s Leadership Award which was presented by Chief Hank Stawinski.
“As we welcome these new Deputies, we consider each deputy as a member of the family. New recruits, as a part of our overall hiring strategy, fresh with new ideas and contemporary perspective to our agency,” said Sheriff High. “If their achievement in this very rigorous police academy is any indication of their desire to serve the citizens of this county, then law enforcement in the county will continue to have a positive future.”
Sheriff High joined County Executive Rushern L. Baker and other public safety agency heads in congratulating the graduates for their accomplishments and successful completion of the academy.
