
OXON HILL, Md. – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run that occurred in Oxon Hill on Wednesday morning. The name of the deceased pedestrian, an adult female, will be released once her family is located and notified.
On December 11, 2024, at approximately 6:10 am, patrol officers responded to the area of Saint Barnabas Road and the Capital Beltway for the report of a collision involving a pedestrian. Officers located the victim in the roadway suffering from trauma. She was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the involved driver struck the victim in the westbound lanes of Saint Barnabas Road. The driver did not remain on scene. Through their investigation, detectives were able to later identify the driver and locate the striking vehicle in this incident.
