LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — Police are now investigating a reported death from an overdose that occurred tonight in Lexington Park.  

At approximately 9 p.m. on September 26, first responders were called to the 20000 block of Kenshire Court for the incident which was described as a cardiac or respiratory arrest.

Upon arrival, the victim, a 33-year-old woman, was found not breathing. A bystander apparently had witnessed the cardiac arrest just moments prior calling 911.

Narcan was administered to the victim upon arrival, as well as CPR. No pulse was able to be detected and the victim was pronounced deceased soon after.

It was noted at the scene that the woman was in possession of what is believed to have been heroin. The substance found has yet to be tested and confirmed.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is continuing an investigation into the incident at this time.
