LANHAM, Md. – The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Lanham on Friday night. A passenger in one of the involved vehicles, 65-year-old Gladys Addrah of Upper Marlboro, was killed.

On December 31, 2021, at approximately 10:20 pm, patrol officers responded to the 9300 block of Good Luck Road for a collision involving a car and an SUV.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was a passenger in a car travelling eastbound on Good Luck Road and the involved SUV was heading westbound. For reasons that are now under investigation, the SUVโ€™s driver crossed over the double yellow line into the eastbound lane, colliding head on with the car. Addrah was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later. The carโ€™s driver was transported with non-life-threating injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured.ย
