On Sept. 16, Thomas Joseph Weaver of Leonardtown was operating a 2005 Suzuki motor cycle on Macintosh Road, and was slowing for the stop sign at Hollywood Road (Rt. 245).
Carl Lance Myers, of Colton’s Point, was also southbound on Macintosh Road and failed to see that Weaver was slowing for the stop sign and stuck the rear of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle went down on its side and was pushed by Mr. Myers’ vehicle for a short distance.
Weaver was flown to P.G. Shock Trauma by Trooper 7 and is in critical but stable condition.
Myers was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The investigation is being conducted by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction Team.
