
Kevin Swain, a 19-year-old Prince George’s County firefighter, was released from a hospital this past Saturday, April 23.
On Friday, April 15, Swain and fellow firefighter John “Skillet” Ulmschneider responded to a 911 call for a welfare check at a home in Temple Hills, Md. Upon arrival, Swain and Ulmschneider forced entry into the home, at which point the homeowner opened fire.
Swain was shot four times and was transported to a hospital with critical injuries. Ulmschneider sufferedย fatalย injuriesย during the incident while another man unaffiliated with the Prince George’s County Fire Department escaped with non-life threatening injuries.
