California, MD – The pro wrestling fan base in St Maryโs County got a treat on April 25, when the VFW Post 2632 hosted the GXW Wrestling Slamming Selfie Saturday. Fans could come meet former WWF superstar Buff Bagwell, or Duck Dynasty star Mountain Man. Mountain Man is known on the show for being slow, and that is how he is in real life. TheBay Net and Mountain Man had a conversation where we each said three things, and it was a 7 minute conversation. The two gentlemen were signing autographs, and taking pictures with fans.
After their autograph session, the matches started outside. In the first match, we had a triple tag team match between DTP, the Dark Horses, and Cory Bush and Tytan.
To start the match, a member of DTP and the Dark Horses started. After they wrestled for a few minutes they tapped in the DTP Partner, and Tytan. Several unsuccessful pins occurred in that match as a size difference was the big difference between these two. They tapped in the Cory Bush, and when he came into the rink, the crowd began chanting โKrispy Kremeโ. He had a member of DTP on the ground when he entered the ring, undid his shoulder straps and let his stomach fall over his shirt that was now at his waist, and body slammed the downed member of DTP. He got the pin, and his team won the match. As they were walking out, the continued chant of Krispy Kreme was ringing in the pavilion.
In the second match, Bolen went up against Depaul. Bolen featured trunks and a chain around his neck. He also had a very skinny blonde Mohawk. Depaul was wearing purple tights. During the match, Bolen was complaining to the referee that Depaul was continually grabbing his hair. In retaliation, while Depaul was on the ground, Bolen took his chain and wrapped it around the top rope on one of the turnbuckles. When Depaul stood up, he charged at Bolen, who moved aside like a matador, and Depaul ran right into the chain, and went down. Bolen jumped on top of Depaul, and completed the pin. Bolen exited the ring, but Depaul stayed in disbelief. He walked back to the dressing rooms with his head down in disbelief.
In the third match of the event, the Kacee Carlisle and Amber Rodriguez went against each other. Kacee Carlisle was booed heavily when she came out, and ran around the ring. Meanwhile, Amber was very well received. The two girls circled the ring for about a minute before they finally made contact. There were punches and kicks being thrown, until they toppled over with Kacee Carlisle on top of Amber. She attempted a pin, but Amber got out and Kacee went to protest with the referee.
While she was protesting, Amber got up on the turnbuckle, and jumped on Kacee when she turned around. Kacee countered very fast, and completed a pin. Kacee won, and told the crowd to keep booing her. She wonโt ever lose.
After they departed the ring, the Mask and DTP went against Mr. Brazzwell and Batman. Mr. Brazzwell and DTP went into the ring and beat up on each other for a few minutes, and the crowd kept chanting the Batman theme. After Mr. Brazzwell went down, and DTP was tired, he tapped in The Mask. Batman got a tap on the foot from Mr. Brazwell. The crowd started making noise when Batman and The Mask got in the ring together. Batman grabbed the Mask and did a reverse head slam, and completed the pin to beat the mask.
After Batman got his round of applause, Buff Bagwell came onto the ring to get pictures with people in the ring. They got to wear his hat, and sunglasses, and pose with Buff Bagwell. After this, the show ended.
