Proposals For Chesapeake Beach Water Park Redesign Due March 15th

CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – The Town of Chesapeake Beach will publicly open proposals next week for the redesign of the Chesapeake Beach Water Park.

In a previous meeting, town council members discussed plans to close the water park and put an aquatic center in its place. In February, the town held a pre-bid meeting with 9 firms in attendance. Sealed design/build proposals are due to be delivered to Town Hall by March 15th at 9:00 am.

The proposals will be opened and each proposalโ€™s lump sum bid will be announced publicly. The Town Council then expects to review proposals in the March 21st Town Council meeting at 7:00 pm.

The BayNet will continue to follow this story and provide updates as they are available.

  1. Funny – the original committee meetings to discuss the water park years back wanted an aquatic center but somehow, we were overruled. I still prefer an aquatic center, with a physical therapy pool.

  2. Should stay open this summer, and work on it this coming fall/ winter. The kids here need this place.
